Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a Sales Support Executive for the Southeast Asia & India territory. This person will join the Business Development Team, helping sales by performing lead generation, coordinating events and travel schedules as well as assisting the team in overall business activities to grow the territory. This role will also assist in the servicing of existing clients when necessary. If successful, this role can lead to a more senior role in the business development team.
This position is an integral part of Oxford’s growth plans for Southeast Asia and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:
Sales and Client Management
Lead generation via industry publications, cold calls, and internet research
Help identify key prospects across the territory; companies, key individual’s and teams within each company, and support the Business Development team in establishing relationships with these prospects
Provide in-depth company research referencing structures, leads and new prospects via internet sites as LinkedIn, Bloomberg, etc
Assist the business development team to ensure targets are met and upselling opportunities are realized
Assist the business development team with various campaigns
Develop a strong knowledge of the subscription products and become proficient at providing demonstrations of these services
Assist in organising meeting agendas for the BD team for business trips as well as helping coordinate key events across the region
Analysis and report on key sales KPI’s
Salesforce: Help with the upkeep of Salesforce including setting up trials & notifications, data entry and cross checks as required. Ensure contact details of new leads and prospects are recorded and help build lead lists and various reporting tools
Skills and experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally within a relevant field (economics, business, finance, marketing)
Native English speaker: other language skills, such as Bahasa, Thai or Tagalog, are highly desirable
An interest in sales and business development, ideally with previous work or internship experience
An interest in economics and current affairs
Comfortable making cold calls to multiple countries
Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
Strong writing skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be a team player
