Oxford Economics is a leading global provider of economic forecasts, research, and consulting solutions. We are looking to hire an Editor for our Global Macro Services team.

 The role will involve editing macroeconomic research under deadline pressure to impeccable standards for clarity, accuracy, and impact. These publications will primarily consist of thematic research on global economic events and trends, and country economic reviews published monthly and quarterly.

 Critical requirements are the ability to draw out key messages and to present complex analysis in accessible forms for a diverse client base. While the role is centred on producing top-quality written research, an understanding of how to present content in digital formats would be an advantage.

 The key responsibilities for this role are:

 Editing

  •   Edit research produced by Oxford Economics’ Global Macro Services team, primarily country economic forecasts and thematic research briefings.
  • Meet timeliness targets for publishing.
  • Work closely with macroeconomists around the world, particularly in North America and Latin America , and build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Apply Oxford Economics’ style and writing guides to ensure our content meets exceptional editorial standards for clarity and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update Oxford Economics’ style guide as required.
  • Use publishing tools to present accessible, action-oriented research for a diverse, global client base.
  • Support the development of digital content across our subscription platform.
  • Help develop the writing skills of Oxford Economists through constructive feedback and contribute to writing training programs.

 Skills and Experience:

  • A University degree or equivalent in journalism or related subject
  • Proven experience as an editor (three years minimum)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • An understanding of macroeconomic analysis
  • Experience in producing graphics and visual storytelling preferred.
  • Fluent in MS Office
